Stories from around MCC
Dallas-based integrated marketing communications firm MCC has earned the recognition of industry peers and been named a finalist in the “Best Low Budget Video Production” category for PR Daily’s 2014 Video Awards. The agency received this nomination based on their Animalz by ReTrak product launch video, released last holiday season.
“MCC did a great job and resulted in Animalz becoming the number one-selling children’s headphones at the country’s largest electronics chain,” said Scott Ledbetter, president, ReTrak.
For the video, MCC focused on the ease-of-use while highlighting a diverse group of kids using the headphones, without much help from parents. To remain in budget, the agency used local friends for actors, sourced stock music and used client resources for photos to create a cost-effective and professional film.
The “Big Fun for Little Ears – Animalz Retractable, Volume-Limiting Headphones for Kids,” video was published on YouTube on Oct. 17, 2014 and has since earned more than 1,800 views. This video was used as a pitching aid for MCC’s public relations team, which reached out to bloggers to garner awareness of an unknown brand during the busiest buying time of the year. Nearly 80 blogs wrote about and reviewed the headphones. Twenty-nine percent also included the video. Additionally, the video aided in the national coverage Animalz by ReTrak received from The Boston Globe, Newsday and The Huffington Post.
“Providing our clients with the best results is our top priority,” said Mike Crawford, president, MCC. “Being able to produce a video that garners results while staying on budget is what we aim to do for our clients. MCC aspires to live the unexpected and we are honored to be recognized for our work.”
Winners for PR Daily’s Video Awards will be announced on PRDaily.com in late April.
