Things Get Wild at MCC as it Joins with Animalz by ReTrak Retractable Headphones

DALLAS โ€“ Nov. 5, 2014

MCC’s Christmas gift came early this year as Animalz by ReTrak retractable headphones selected the Dallas-based integrated marketing communications firm for the national launch of its kid-friendly headphones.

The launch has included an integration of content marketing, outreach marketing, traditional public relations strategies and blogger relations. The agency created a commercial-quality product video showcasing the loveable furry designs. As an added bonus for bloggers, MCC incorporated a BuzzFeed survey into the outreach marketing program. The survey was a fun way to allow bloggers to discover which Animalz headphones were their kids’ “spirit animal.”

“We were intrigued with MCC because of the previous work they had done for clients and their ability to tell a brand’s story across multiple platforms,” said Scott Ledbetter, president of ReTrak. “We love how the agency has not only connected with mom bloggers, potential customers and the media, but truly understands the needs of these audiences. We can’t wait to see what MCC comes up with next!”

Animalz headphones are designed for little ears and feature volume-limiting technology in six soft fabric animal designs: Biker Bearz, DJ Panda, Jam Bunneez, Scuba Shark, Skate Monkeez and Surf Dawgz. Along with the crystal-clear sound quality, each of the headphones are equipped with a built-in, 3.2-foot retractable cable โ€“ making play time fun and clean up easy.

More than 10 percent of children ages 9 to 19 have noise-induced hearing loss according to the Journal of Pediatrics. Exposure to sound louder than 85 decibels can cause permanent hearing impairment in a child’s ears. With Animalz’s volume-limiting technology, parents don’t have to worry about overexposure for developing sensitive ears. The headphones volume limiter sets 85 decibels as the maximum volume for optimal ear protection.

After developing successful brands for more than 30 publicly traded companies, 50 hardware manufacturing companies, 20 software development companies, 15 service providers and more than 100 technology startups, MCC is no stranger when it comes to technology clients. In fact, the agency was just recently named a technology advocate finalist by the Metroplex Technology Business Council.

For more than 28 years, MCC has provided marketing, media planning, advertising, Internet marketing, social media, video production and public relations services to these technology clients, and the agency is not looking to break this trend any time soon.

“We love working with consumer electronics clients; they fuel our passion for connecting the head and the heart through brand stories,” said Mike Crawford, president and founder of MCC. “Animalz by ReTrak is such a fun client because it makes children smile and eases the stress of parents with active, technology-savvy kids. That makes us smile.”
